The Team

Mark has vast experience both on the road and the track, having previously competed in the national endurance racing and co owned a 3rd place finishers RGMOTO in 2014. Mark also works with a long established TT and road race team regular competing at the TT, Macau and BSB. Being involved in the sport gaming sector as a career means mark is immersed in sport at every level and discipline.

“This coming season give us, in Crank Racing the opportunity to step up to a new division and race in the very competitive Stock GP class in Thundersport and also running a bike and rider on the Irish Roads. The team I have put together gives us massive experience and some very talented people.  The most exciting part of Crank Racing is continuing and investing even more with our generous and supportive sponsors, in talented students and help them with possible careers in motorsport, and also investing in the lives of some youth offenders and give them the real second chance, which we all deserve.”

Richard is a seasoned race team professional with experience in the TT and on the national scene.

“I have been riding bikes on the road for about 15 years and have always had a passion for anything fast! I had the opportunity to work at the iom in 2013 and ended working the pit wall in the senior TT, I first met Mark Grimes at that TT. I was then asked to spray the 4 bikes for RG Moto endurance team co owned by Mark and was give the opportunity to do pit boards for the season. Mark asked me to join his new team Crank Racing as team manager, I jumped at the chance and I am looking forward to joining another very successful race team.”

Andrew Joyce

Andrew Joyce has had a passion for Motorcycles since he was a young boy. Growing up Andi built his first road bike, which was a Honda CB175. Andi has worked for numerous Motorcycle Dealers, which include the famous Motorcycle Racer Paul Smart. From 2001 through to 2010 Andi worked for Ducati UK where he had the opportunity to be a race technician for Moto Rapido in the British Super Bike Paddock supporting Scott Smart in the Superstock 1000cc Championship. Today Andi is successfully running the Motorcycle courses at West Kent College, giving back his knowledge and in-depth understanding of what makes a motorcycle work to young aspiring Motorcycle students. Andi also supported RG Moto last season with his students, and hopes to have the same success with Crank Racing.

"it's a great opportunity to be part of the Crank Racing team and flying the Crank Racing  flag in Ireland. Partnering with Mark is really exciting the team has very high ambitions,  and it's great to part of it for 2015 . The Crank outfit is racing both in the UK and Ireland but is 100% Irish!!". My goals are to win races in a consistent and safe manner, build on lap speeds on the TT course and progress in the results there. I would like to win the Adelaide masters championship in both the Supersport and Superbike class, score podiums and wins in a consistent fashion at national road racing level.
